ANNESHIA HARDY
Narrative Strategist x Social Impact Architect x Scholar Activist
Guided by ancestral memory and culture, she shapes narratives toward liberation.

Anneshia Hardy is a cultural narrative strategist and social impact entrepreneur whose work builds narrative power across the Deep South. She is the Executive Director of Alabama Values and Alabama Values Progress, where she leads statewide messaging, research, and digital strategies that strengthen civic engagement and pro-democracy movements.
Anneshia is the creator of the Applied Cultural Meaning & Memory (ACMM) Framework™, a methodology that helps organizers understand how cultural memory and meaning shape belief and political behavior. The ACMM Framework™ also powers her broader narrative ecosystem work, including The Southern Narrative Project, a regional narrative infrastructure initiative developed in partnership with Sony Films, and The People’s Narrative Lab, a digital app that equips users with narrative tools rooted in culture, history, and lived experience.
As co-founder of Blackyard LLC, a social impact firm that helps organizations and individuals maximize their impact in marginalized communities, Anneshia supports partners across the country in developing culturally grounded narrative and communication strategies. Her narrative expertise has shaped major voting rights cases, including Allen v. Milligan and Louisiana v. Callais, and her workshops have been featured by the Obama Foundation, NAACP, and pro-democracy networks across the South.
Across all her roles, Anneshia is committed to building narrative ecosystems that close knowledge gaps, expand political imagination, and strengthen community power.
